A BIRSTALL electrical store held a special fund-raising weekend to help two local football teams.
Currys, at Birstall Shopping Park, invited team members from Howden Clough under 10s and Gildersome Spurs under 15s to attend its promotional weekend.

The store ran a raffle, with prizes donated by store manager Andy Bolsover, and held prize draws to help raise money for the teams' upcoming tournaments.

Manufacture advisers also attended the event to give advice to customers and give demonstrations.
