PUPILS at Batley Girls' High School tended to 40 OWLS who came to roost at Batley Sports and Tennis Centre.
Members of the Ossett Wandering Leisure Service visited the Howden Clough centre to take part in a variety of sports activities and were looked after by the school's canteen service, Harlequins, and sixth form students.

Deputy head teacher, Ray Henshaw, said: "As an extended school we are always looking for ways to serve our local community and this venture is an example of how both the school and Kirklees Active Leisure are working together to provide a service for people in the area."
