Calling all bikers – a Batley cafe wants you for a charity ride-out.
Surburban Cafe, in Bradford Road, is supporting motorcycle racer Guy Martin’s Big Brew weekend in May.
Held over the bank holiday weekend, the fundraiser encourages people to invite people round for a cuppa and raise money for Ride Out for Spinal Research.
The campaign supports people with spinal cord injuries by funding research into treatment.
From May 4 to 6, cafe owner Chris Hardcastle will donate 10p to the cause for every cup of tea sold.
The motorbike enthusiast is also hoping to recruit bikers from across the district for a ride out on Sunday May 5.
Bikers will meet at the cafe at 9am before riding out at 10am to raise even more money.
The ride out will be led by Chris’s father David, a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists and York Advanced Motorcyclists.
Chris said: “Guy Martin is a famous bike rider, my favourite, my hero shall we say.
