NOSTALGIA Chris Beaumont
WE have been delving into our picture archives this week, and came across these pictures of Birstall dance teacher Chris Beaumont, who has recently celebrated a quarter century in business.
It’s believed the pictures were taken 25 years ago, when Chris opened her self-titled dance school at Birstall Community Centre.
“Those were the days when I didn’t have any wrinkles,” she joked.
“I think the pictures were taken as a bit of publicity when I opened the dance school. I certainly remember the photographer coming to take the photographs, and I remember when I saw them I went, ‘Oh my God!’”
Chris said she was told by the News photographer to ‘go outside and dance’, so that’s exactly what she did.
