Losing toilets is an inconvenience

Public toilets at Batley. (d08021201)

Kirklees Council has gone too far closing public toilets to save money.

It is time we all started to deduct money from our rates for loss of services.

We read in the News that Coun O’Neil said the toilets were not right for the 21st century; he should be out there campaigning for new ones.

Batley toilets are in an ideal location for the elderly, disabled and mothers with prams and young children.

We were also told to use the toilets in the library or the town hall but, on checking, they are not practical nor is walking to Tesco.

We must keep them in Batley and other areas.
