I FELT compelled to email you on the subject of hospital parking charges. (Councillor's bid to scrap charges, the News, December 8)
The parking fees are ridiculous, and I agree that when someone has to visit A and E, as I have a few times, the last thing you're thinking of is paying for the car park. This just adds more stress to a probable stressful situation.
My recent personal gripe is actually the lack of space to park around the hospital. I travelled from Huddersfield on Monday January 5 for a physio appointment, only to have to circulate the grounds for 20 long minutes for a parking space! Thus making me late for my therapy. The whole thing, I feel, needs looking into.
