We are writing regarding our deep concerns and worries over the possible closure of East Bierley First School.
Our daughter is due to attend the school next year following the families’ footsteps. Our main concerns centre on the fact that our daughter will not get the quality of education East Bierley First School is renowned for at another school, not to mention the possibly frightening proposal that she could be forced to attend Howden Clough High School at a later date.

This super school (throw all our eggs in one enormous basket) idea can in no way enhance any child’s education, not to mention our fears over the length of the journey to and from Howden Clough School.

Why is the council trying to destroy our sense of community? Please save our school and our beautiful village.
