I KNOW this is a long shot but I am trying to locate a friend who lived in Batley back in 1952. His name is Derek Radcliff (we used to call him Bill) and we were in the air force and stationed at RAF Leconfield in East Yorkshire. He will be 75 now. I lost contact with him when I was demobbed.
I was from Bradford. In 1952 I was working in Dewsbury and on a Saturday morning going to work on my motorcycle I hit the back of a large van and broke my leg right outside a textile mill in Batley and spent nine weeks in the local hospital so I have vivid memories of the town!
