THE debate to close our outstanding local community schools and send our children to large satisfactory or good super-schools that nobody wants their child to attend is coming to an end.
We have put forward educated arguments to support our reasoning, we have proved the authority wrong on a number of issues, we have done the research into school numbers etc, but we are still not listened to.

Parents and residents strongly oppose the closure of Birkenshaw Middle School and will do everything possible to ensure this popular, over-subscribed school continues as a high school.

If this school is not to be retained as a high school, the authority will be closing our two local first schools and use this site as a 'super-primary' school.
