CAN you please help us? We are three sisters searching for anyone who knew or has information on Robert Holmes Beaver. We did not discover that he was our grandfather until our own father's death.
After much searching we have recently discovered that he lived in Staincliffe. Robert died in Staincliffe in early 1972 aged 86 and had a twin sister, Lydia.

He was married to our grandmother Edith Annie in Dec 1911 in Hartlepool. My father Jack was their son.

They must have split up early on as we had no idea about Robert.

My father went by the name of Jack Romley all his life (Beaver was his middle name) and never spoke about this. It was a shock to us all.

If any of your readers have any information they could give us, we would be so happy. They can ring me on 01840 230235, email kaidog.richardson@btinternet.com or write to the address below.

Thank you.
