AS a child I lived on Fairview Estate and would spend many hours on what the locals called the 'outies' the raised section of hill between Fairview Estate, Princess Royal School and Wilton Estate.
I've asked people over the years what this could have been. I've been told anything from it being the remains of a colliery to a Roman burial site (although Tony Robinson hasn't made an appearance yet!) Where did the name come from? Can anyone help?
