FUNDRAISER: The Black Dyke Band will play Dewsbury Town Hall in March to raise money for Pat's People.

A BRASS BAND will take to the stage to raise money for St James’s Hospital.

The Black Dyke Band will play a charity concert on Thursday March 21 to raise money on behalf of the Ray Of Hope Trust Fund.

The event at Dewsbury Town Hall has been arranged by Pat’s People, which aims to raise awareness of gallbladder cancer.

Organiser Graham Willis formed the group after his wife Patricia died of the disease in February 2010.

To date, the group has raised £12,250 for the trust fund, which aids the Hepatabiliary Department at St James’s Hospital.

The concert in March will be the third year in a row the Black Dyke Band has supported Pat’s People, and Mr Willis is hoping to repeat the success of the 2011 and 2012 shows.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £12.50 (£10 concessions) and can be bought from Dewsbury Town Hall Box Office by calling 01924 324501 or visiting kirklees.gov.uk/townhalls.

Tickets are also available from Graham Willis by calling 01924 266393 or emailing geewill41@yahoo.co.uk.

Donations to Pat’s People can be made at justgiving.com/Graham-Willis.

Alternatively, cheques can be sent to Pat’s People at 23 Birchen Avenue, Ossett WF5 8HT.
