Tribute night to music legends of yesteryear

The sounds of the Sixties will be heard once again in Huddersfield in a tribute night to the legends of the era.

With the trademark dark-rimmed glasses and soaring vocals, Barry Steele will bring the music of Roy Orbison back to life at the town hall on March 1.

Featuring a fabulous five piece band and film footage from the era, the legend of the Big-O will take centre stage, with performances of classic Orbison hits from the sixties, such as Crying and Pretty Woman, right through to the late eighties when he joined the Travelling Wilburys.

Add to the mix the sounds of the Shadows, Ray Charles and Jerry Lee Lewis and special guests Peter Jackson as Johnny Cash and Marc J Robinson as Buddy Holly, you have yourself a spectacular fusion of good old rock’n’roll and contemporary musical genius on one stage.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Call the box office on 01484 223200/222444/324501. Tickets are £20.
