BATLEY folk wanting to do their bit to save the planet can now get a host of energy saving advice, facts and figures from the council's website.
Kirklees Council has been encouraging the town's residents to 'Go Green' following 'Connect To Your Council Day' yesterday.

A new section has been launched on the council's website called 'Climate Change in Kirklees', giving residents tips and information on living a greener lifestyle.

People can check their carbon footprint on a CO2 calculator and see how they fare on the eco-scale by answering a series of questions based on their everyday lives.

There are also useful tips to help the environment and save money on energy bills.

- If you are concerned about environmental issues, don't miss next week's Batley News when our regular Making Batley Greener feature will focus on growing your own vegetables.
