DELAYS are expected along stretches of the M1 as improvement work begins.
Disruption is expected between Junction 41, at Carr Gate, and Junction 42, near Lofthouse, north of Wakefield. Various lane closures in both directions are expected until July 15, between 8pm and 6am.
Bridge works at Haigh, north of Barnsley, at Junction 38 are likely to cause slight delays until 27 of August, with lane closures from 8pm until 6am.
At Junction 35, near Thorpe Hesley at the East and North of Sheffield, there will be one lane closed in both directions with the hard shoulder running over 24 hours, until August 27.
CCTV and road safety cameras installed along the M1 between Junction 32, at Thurcroft, and Junction 33, at Catcliffe, are likely to cause slight delays. Two south-bound lanes, including the exit to Junction 32 onto the M18, will be closed overnight until July 13, with diversions in place. Two lanes of the North-bound carriageway will also be closed until July 12.
