A BATLEY drug dealer caught out by undercover police officers has been jailed for four years.
John Lee Bull, of Ealand Road, Wilton, pleaded guilty to supplying crack cocaine and possession of the Class A drug with intent to supply.
Prosecuting, Jonathon Devlin told Leeds Crown Court last week Bull, 23, had been selling cocaine to establis
hed users for seven months before he was arrested in May last year, making up to £400 a week.
Mr Devlin said after Bull was caught selling to someone from his Audi convertible in Batley, police officers found 39 wraps in the car, each containing seven grams of cocaine, with a street value of £500
A search of Bull's home found games consoles, a flat screen television and a large quantity of designer clothing.
Mr Devlin said a mobile phone was seized with received text messages along the lines of: "have you got the same stuff as yesterday? That was small and not much good."
Mitigating, Ged O'Connor said Bull had not made a career of selling drugs and was determined to seek help while in prison.
He said: "These court proceedings have had a salutary affect on him and he knows if he continues with this lifestyle he will lose his partner and his children, a six-month old son and a two-year-old daughter.
"He wants no more contact with drugs."
Sentencing Bull, Judge Peter Benson said: "Crack cocaine is prevalent on the streets of West Yorkshire's cities and its effects are dire. People can become quite easily addicted to it but don't have the money to finance it and eventually turn to crime. This is a very serious matter."
Judge Benson said Bull must serve at least half of the four year sentence and made a confiscation order for the drugs found in Bull's car and £3,060.
