FREE advice will be on offer for householders wanting to reduce their energy bills.
Kirklees Council is holding its local launch event for its Affordable Warmth Strategy at Batley Resource Centre in Commercial Street on April 1.

Energy efficiency issues will be discussed as well as practical support offered.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their gas and electricity bills along for advice on getting the right tariff.

All of the big six energy companies have now announced their price increases onto the household fuel bill, bringing the average UK household annual fuel bill to over £1,000.

The event coincides with the launch of the Warm Zone programme into the Batley West ward.

Kirklees Warm Zone offers free cavity wall and loft insulation to every household in Kirklees, regardless of their age or income.

Help is offered to people of all ages, incomes and lifestyles.
The event takes place from 9.30am to 3pm.
