Man found 'crucified'

A MAN was allegedly found nailed to a cross near to the home of missing Shannon Matthews.
The 43-year-old man, who has not been named, was found on School Lane, Dewsbury Moor at 11pm on Sunday.

He was discovered by police searching for missing nine-year-old Shannon.

Police believe the separate incident may have been drug related.

They believe the man was attacked by at least two people and was found lying on the floor after being nailed to a cross through his hands.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the man was taken by ambulance to Dewsbury and District Hospital for emergency treatment.

A police spokesman said they are treating the incident as an assault.
