Pupils got to sit back, relax and enjoying watching a film as they were rewarded for their improved attendance record.

Warwick Road School said 114 youngsters had come to school every day last term and as a treat organised a cinema party.

The pupils, pictured, were also allowed to wear non-uniform for the day.

Attendance officer Sumayyah Chhibda said: “The staff transformed the school hall into a cinema, where the children viewed a movie whilst eating popcorn, sweets and other goodies. It was great fun.”
