The following cases were heard by Kirklees Magistrates’ Court. Numbers refer to the defendants’ ages and not their addresses.

Mark Jackson, (45), of Wellington Road East, Dewsbury, £405 fine, £85 costs, £40 victim surcharge and disqualified from driving for 20 months for driving without insurance and failing to provide a specimen.

Samuel Foley, (27), of School Lane, Dewsbury, Community order with 126 hours unpaid work and £50 costs for failing to comply with requirements of community order.

John Hollis, (34), of College Street, Batley, 12-month conditional discharge and £50 compensation for stealing £50 worth of meat from Tesco.

Cain Bridges, (20), of Lacy Street, Dewsbury, £100 fine, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge for possession of Class B drugs.

James Waugh, (44), of Croftlands, Batley, Community order with 10 day rehabilitation activity requirement, 60 hours unpaid work, £85 costs, £85 victim surcharge and £50 compensation for assault by beating and assaulting a constable in execution of duty.

Connor Parkinson, (18), of Cedar Drive, Dewsbury, £120 fine, £110 costs and £20 victim surcharge for using threatening and/or abusive words and behaviour.

Mark De La Ware, (41), of Laurel Grove, Batley, 12-month conditional discharge, £85 costs and £20 victim surcharge for using threatening and/or abusive words and behaviour with intent to cause distress.

Ben Reilly, (31), of Hawthorn Lane, Cleckheaton, £120 fine, £85 costs, £30 victim surcharge and disqualified from driving for 19 months for drink-driving and driving without insurance.

Nohman Hussain, (20), of Hawthorn Avenue, Batley, committed to detention for 24 weeks suspended for 18 months, Community order with 100 hours unpaid work with 20 day rehabilitation activity requirement, £300 costs, £200 compensation, £80 victim surcharge and disqualified from driving for 12 months for use of unlawful violence and using threatening and/or abusive words and behaviour.

Anthony Aitcheson, (27), of Darley Road, Liversedge, £100 fine, £85 costs, £20 victim surcharge and points on licence for stealing 70 scaffolding boards, driving without insurance and failing to surrender to custody.

Charlie Brearley, (20), of Corfe Close, Birstall, 28 days in young offender institution and £115 victim surcharge for stealing shower gel from Poundworld, attempting to steal coping stones and failing to surrender to custody.

Florina Sali, (19), of Great Pond Street, Dewsbury, six-month conditional discharge, £60 costs and £20 victim surcharge for stealing hair products from Boots.

James Ramsden, (30), of Green Close, Dewsbury, 6-month sentence suspended for 12 months, community order with electronically-monitored curfew for four months with 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement and £300 compensation for assault by beating, assaulting a constable in execution of duty.

Sandor Ignacz, (32), of Cliffe Street, Dewsbury, Community order with 150 hours unpaid work and £85 victim surcharge for assault by beating.

Basharat Wali, (37), of Cliffe Street, Dewsbury, £110 compensation for failing to give a sample and stealing a Sony Experia mobile phone.
