Do you know a champion child?

IF you know a young champion, nominating them for an award couldn’t be easier.

Whether they’ve done well in school, helped save a life or anything in between, we want to hear from you.

Children up to the age of 16 are eligible, and all you have to do is write a letter or email of no more than 200 words explaining why you think the child should be considered for an award.

The closing date for all nominations is February 23.

The awards ceremony will be presented by Reporter Series awards’ veteran and BBC Look North presenter Clare Frisby on March 26.

The event will held at Ponderosa’s Lakeside Restaurant in Heckmondwike.

Send your nominations to Champion Children, Batley and Birstall News, 11 Commercial Street, Batley, WF17 5HL or email rebecca.draper@ywng.co.uk.
