A beautician offered a helping hand to raise money for charity by massaging celebrities and pop stars.

Sarah Hoyle, owner of Cloud 9 Health & Beauty at Batley Sports and Tennis Centre, joined in the fund raising with Real Radio, in Morley, who held a 12 hour event for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Miss Hoyle waxed breakfast presenter Dave Dixon and gave Gayle Lofthouse a massage in a bid to encourage listeners to donate.

She also gave pop stars from ITV 2’s hit show The Big Reunion including 911, Bewitched and Atomic Kitten massages in exchange for donations.

Miss Hoyle said: “We wanted to show our support so I offered to help the hosts get through their marathon fund raiser with some treatments.

“It was a fantastic experience and the charity is something businesses and people should support because they do a fantastic job.”

Opera singer Russell Watson and soapstars from Emmerdale also attended the event, which raised more than £22,000 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
