A dedicated donor has been honoured for giving blood 75 times.
David Haywood, of Batley, received a crystal award from NHS Blood and Transplant for his long-term commitment to helping save lives.
He was joined by around 50 other donors from across the county at the prestigious ceremony.
A donor that has reached 75 donations could have helped up to 225 people.
NHS Blood and Transplant lead donor relations manager Donna Batty said: “It is amazing to see the dedication of these long-standing donors. “They are an inspiration to us all and we hope that others will follow in their footsteps to save and improve the lives of many people.”
She said anyone aged between 17 and 65, weighing more than 50kg (7st 12lbs) and in general could health could become a blood donor.
