Hundreds of swimmers were diving into a charity challenge at this year’s Jane Tomlinson Yorkshire Swimming Festival.
Around 350 fundraisers made a splash with a 500m or 1,500m open water swim, or an Aquathlon – a 1km swim followed by a 5km run – at Pugneys Country Park near Wakefield on Sunday.
Paul Clemence, of Birstall, clinched first place in the 1500m challenge.
The 33-year-old recorded an impressive time of 20 minutes and nine seconds.
Jane Tomlinson’s Swim For All organised the event.
Swim For All Event lead Charlie Tatman said: “Our swimming festival is completely different to all of our other events and is a great challenge for someone who wants to try something new.”
