Jam is currying favour!
We're jammin: Paresh Tejura with his jams, sauces and chutneys.
Businesses these days are always having to diversify – but one local company looks to be “jam-packed” with new ideas!
Dewsbury-based Curry Cuisine usually specialises in spicy foods, but the company has branched out into making gourmet-style preserves.
The company is set to launch its new Scrummee Jam range at the Farm and More Farm retail trade show.
The new jazzed up jam collection, including raspberry and black pepper, plum and cinnamon, kiwi and lime and strawberry and cardamon varieties.
Paresh Tejura, director of Curry Cuisine, said: “We believe that it’s time to invigorate and excite people’s tastebuds at breakfast time, hence our new gourmet jam range.
“They will add a new dimension to the condiment sector and help differentiate the offering within the farm retail market.”
The three-day trade show and conference, held from February 10-13 at the Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, is organised by the FARMA co-operative of farmers, producers and farmers’ markets organisations selling their products locally.
A spokesman for FARMA said: “This is the ideal platform to spread the word about its new jam and chutneys range, as the show attracts hundreds of farm retailers from across the UK and beyond.”
