Man robbed at Dewsbury train station

A ROBBER punched a man and stole his cash outside Dewsbury train station.

The 45-year-old victim had been near the main entrance when a lone man came over to smoke with him.

The man asked the victim to go into the car park out of the way of any cameras. Once there, he punched the victim and demanded money.

The robber, described as white with a receding hairline, ran off with £30 in cash. He wore a blue sweatshirt and combat trousers.

Police today appealed for witnesses to the robbery which happened at around 5.30pm last Tuesday.
