Man was pushed to floor and robbed in Batley

A MAN was robbed of his mobile phone while walking in Batley on Thursday.

The 21-year-old was walking in Common Road, near to its junction with Abbey Road in Staincliffe, and talking on his mobile phone at 7.35pm.

Two men who were walking behind him demanded that he hand over his phone to them.

The victim refused, so the men pushed him to the floor and he dropped the phone. They picked it up and ran off.

The first suspect was a white man aged 19 to 25. He was slim, around 5ft 6ins to 6ft tall and had brown shaven hair. He was wearing a hoodie.

The second man was also white, aged between 22 and 24. He was shorter than the first man and was of large build. He had long blond hair and was wearing a white jumper, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
