Artists wanted for Oakwell art show

OAKWELL Hall’s art exhibition, Art in the Barn, is back.

And the organisers are on the lookout for budding artists to showcase their work.

The annual show had more than 2,000 visitors last year, with a large number of pictures sold.

The exhibition opens on Saturday February 9 and will take place in the Visitor Centre Barn, Nutter Lane, Birstall.

Artists will have the opportunity to showcase more of their work following a change in the conditions.

This year they will have the option to remove the painting and replace with another for sale.

All pictures on display will be available for purchase.

Admissions is free and the event is open from 11am each day.

Artists should contact Jane Broadhurst at Oakwell Hall on jane.broadhurst@kirklees.gov.uk before the end of January.
