Batley dieter picked as face of Tesco Diets

AFTER years of searching, vegetarian Emma Murphy has finally found a diet that sticks.

Not only has she lost nearly five stone and dropped four dress sizes since the beginning of last year, but Emma has also been chosen as one of the faces of the diet programme she's on - Tesco Diets.

As one of the diet plan's biggest success stories, Emma joined eight other dieters for a day in London where she was pampered, styled and made into a model.

She now stands to win the Tesco Diets Slimmer of the Year title, and is featured on the programme's website and its magazine.

She said: "The whole experience was fantastic; truly unforgettable."

Children's centre teacher Emma, who lives in Lansdowne Close, Upper Batley, weighed 16st at her heaviest, and was a size 22 to 24.

"I'm quite a fussy eater, and just couldn't find a diet to fit me," she said. "My self esteem and confidence were really low, and I just wasn't happy with how I looked or how I felt."

While shopping in Batley's Tesco Extra, Emma saw a promotion for Tesco Diets, which she researched on the internet once she got home.

Within a week she had lost six pounds.

Emma, 32, said she still wanted to lose another stone and get down to a dress size 12 in time for her wedding to partner Daniel Bates in Corfu next June.

"The biggest changes I have made are to my portion sizes, and making sure I drink plenty of water every day," she said.
