Children at a Birstall nursery donned their denim to raise money for charity.

Staff and children at Kiddiwinks were fundraising for Jeans for Genes Day.

Lee-Anne Allen, nursery manager at Kiddiwinks, said: “The children really enjoyed themselves. We incorporated denim into their activities by putting denim into the sensory area for the babies and older children used it to make sticky pictures.”

Jeans for Genes Day and Genetic Disorders UK offer grants to charities and support groups who care for children affected by a genetic disorder.

“At story time, we read stories to the pre-school children which involved similar situations to those Jeans for Genes Day raise money for,” added Leanne.
