Cops stop odd smelling car

POLICE officers who stopped a car that smelled ‘suspicious’ in Batley discovered a bag of white powder and green vegetable matter.

Officers from Batley Neighbourhood Policing Teams stopped the vehicle in Commercial Street because they thought it smelled strongly of cannabis.

The bag of white powder was found inside the visor above the steering wheel, and a bag of what is thought to be cannabis was found elsewhere. One man has been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
