THE Reporter Series has made its resolution this year – to raise money for four fantastic causes.
And we are hoping that News readers will make it their resolution too.
Most of us at some time in life will be affected by cancer. Kirkwood Hospice has been a source of support and help to many families and this year needs to raise even more money for a complete refurbishment and rebuild, as well as running costs.
The Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice is the first children’s hospice for this area – a remarkable place which is going to provide respite, care and enjoyment to hundreds of local families.
Asthma is a killer which affects young and old. Yet it is such a common illness most of us know someone who suffers or have suffered ourselves. We felt it would be a cause many people would want to give money to.
And One Community provides money to local groups and organisations who can apply for grants. It could be supporting a sporting club or sponsoring an event.
We know people in this area are extremely generous and we hope you will choose our fund to raise money for in 2013.
