OVER the past 12 months the News has been packed full of great news stories.

We’ve had hundreds of happy tales to make you smile, and sad stories to tug at your heartstrings.

And in 2013 we’d like to hear more about your achievements and positive things you’re doing in your communities.

Covering bad news is part of our job, but often we don’t get to hear about the amazing things people do every day, from volunteers working tirelessly to help people in need, to a child with a special talent who is flying high on stage or screen.

There are many ways to get in touch with our reporters if you think of a story. Our contact details are at the top of this page, or you can post a message on our Facebook page or tweet us.

We are always happy to meet readers so if you’d prefer to speak to us face to face, visit us at our Batley office.
