Hospital service proposals go to health board

THE future make-up of services at Dewsbury and District Hospital will be considered by health bosses next week.

Members of the Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield District Cluster Board will review an outline business case for service changes on Thursday.

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust’s has been asking local people, GPs and others about potential changes, including downgrading Dewsbury’s A&E, since last summer. But the board will be the first to see the Trust’s preferred options and decide if they should go to public consultation.

People can watch the meeting in Ossett Town Hall at 10am.
