Inches takes the prize for festive display
THE festive windows of a Cleckheaton business have taken the crown for the best Christmas display.
Inches, owned by Karen Smithson, was judged to have the best window display by three independent judges.
The competition, held by the Spenborough Chamber of Trade, was designed to help make the town more festive in the run up to Christmas and compliment the town’s festive lights.
Karen said she was delighted to win.
She said: “It took weeks to plan it.
“We just wanted to do something this year, something a bit more special.”
Karen won a free cut and blow dry at the John Richard Salon, while Taste, who came second, won a bottle of Moet Chandon champagne donated by Matthew Baker of I5T.
Chamber president Viv Laycock said it was the first year they had held the competition.
She said: “The displays really make the town look more Christmassy and help towards the festive feeling.”
