Oakwell letter is a runner up

A NEWSLETTER produced by the Friends of Oakwell Hall Country Park has been voted the runner-up in a national competition.

The newsletter, which offers news to members of the group and visitors to Oakwell Hall and its country park in Birstall, is prepared, edited and printed by the Friends.

The competition was run by The British Association of Friends of Museums – an organisation for friends, volunteers and supporters in museums, galleries and heritage sites.

The Friends have now netted their fourth award as they were winners in 1998 and 2001 and runner-up in 2003.
