People are soft
WHERE has all the community spirit gone in our area? In bad weather people used to help one another but not now.
The able bodied people and teenagers not working or in school should have helped to clear snow and helped neighbours.
I was brought up with the motto: Think of others before myself and do a good turn every day, which I still do.
The country didn't used to come to a halt. We never had central heating. We just put on an extra jumper and got on with it. People are so soft now.
