Recognise a familiar face?

THIS picture was brought in to the Batley and Birstall News office by local man Ron Vickers.

Although Mr Vickers recognised himself in the picture as the little boy on the far left at the front, and knows the names of a few other people, the reason for the picture being taken is a bit of a mystery.

It is thought that all the people in the picture were from the Brownhill and Brookroyd area but we would be interested to hear from anyone who recognises themselves or anyone else in the photograph, particularly the elderly man and woman sitting at the front, or who can shed some light on where the picture was taken and why?You can contact the Batley and Birstall News on 01924 472121 or pop into the office in Commercial Street.
