A BUSY main road was closed this morning after a van overturned near Wyke crossroads.

A stretch of the A58 Whitehall Road was shut from the junction with Rookes Lane, Norwood Green, to the crossroads at Wyke with the A641 Huddersfield Road.

The accident happened at 5.45am. No one was seriously injured.

The road was shut until 7.20am while recovery work took place.
