Spooky goings on at Oakwell

Is there anybody there? Prepare for a night of fright at Oakwell Hall.

A SPOOKTACULAR ghost walk is to be held at Oakwell Hall on Friday November 9.

The trail begins in the courtyard of the historic house and then embarks on a tour of the gardens surrounding the hall.

Those brave enough to take part will hear tales of slaughter and misery from the English Civil War plus ghost stories of long dead dogs, grey ladies and much more.

Entry to the hall costs £7 and includes a chance for visitors to learn about the resident ghost, William Batt, and other unnatural occurrences over the years.

Oakwell Hall is located on Nutter Lane, Birstall and booking is essential.
