SHAMED soldier Lee Wittekind lied to his officers about his fiance dying so he could have leave to play poker.

Wittekind, of Batley, phoned the grieving parents of 17-year-old Jessica Taylor to ask them to lie for him after reading she had been killed by a drunk driver on the internet.
