Tories' VAT
Tories' VAT
pledge
Mr B Walsh states that David Cameron has said he will stop the the rise in National Insurance (‘Cash, but from where?' Letterbox, April 15).
This is correct but your assertion that David Cameron says most will come from a rise in VAT is simply not true as we have no plans to raise VAT.
I do not know where you got this information from but can I assure you that as the Parliamentary Candidate for the Conservative Party that this is absolutely not true, along with a few other myths.
This is a tax on jobs which employers have estimated will cost 57,000 jobs.
Can I also reassure the pensioners out there that the Labour lie that we will cut pensioners' benefits is a very wicked attempt to frighten our most vulnerable people. We will not cut pensioners' bus passes, winter fuel allowance or the TV licence.
