Ufo spotted over Batley?

FREAKY floating lights have been seen hovering over the town in a UFO sighting in Wilton.

Olwen Dyson was filming fireworks on New Year's Eve from her home on Laurel Grove when she spotted the unidentified flying objects, one over Wilton Park and two out towards Birstall.

She captured the bizarre spectacle on her camera phone.

She said: "I followed one on my camera. It looked really close but I had to zoom in with the camera.

"It didn't make a noise, it just hovered and then disappeared. It was like a white bulb with a red beam. Lots of people saw it. I hadn't had a drink or anything."

Mrs Dyson called her husband, Tony, who came outside, but returned unmoved to watch telly.

So she shouted to her neighbour, who also saw the UFOs, as did three young men who were passing by.

Mrs Dyson said she didn't feel frightened by the sight. "I just felt a bit stupid," she said.

Mr Dyson showed the footage to his parents and friends, but no-one could identify what it was.

Did you see the strange objects, or can you offer an explanation?
