Which roads does Kirklees Council grit?

KIRKLEES Council grits 60 per cent of its roads in response to severe weather warnings.

Priority routes are main roads, main bus routes and steep roads that provide links to main roads. This covers more than 700 miles of road that can be treated within two hours.

All other routes are treated once the priority roads are clear. The M62 is treated by the Highways Agency.
