The dog was found abandoned in Mirfield.

Police are appealing for information to trace the owner of a dog found abandoned in Mirfield.

Huddersfield Police want to speak to anyone who owns or recognises the animal which was found at about 10am this morning (Monday, April 21) near to Shepley Bridge Marina.

The dog was found next to a hand pulled cart and is currently being looked after by officers.

Insp Andrew Lockwood of Huddersfield Police, said: “We are working to locate the owner of this animal and would like to speak to anyone who can assist

“The owner or anyone who has information is asked to contact the Dewsbury and Mirfield NPT on 101 quoting log 433 of April 21.”
