Police are appealing for information about a missing man who was last seen Batley.

Steven Heeson, 44, was seen leaving his home in the town on Monday April 14 at 10.30am.

It is believed he may have travelled to Cumbria.

Mr Heeson is described as 6ft 4in tall, of large build with short brown hair.

He was thought to be wearing bright blue trainers.

Detective Constable Mike Parris, of Dewsbury CID, said: “I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen Mr Heeson to contact West Yorkshire Police on 101.

“Similarly, if Mr Heeson sees or hears this appeal himself I would ask him to make contact with either the police or his family to confirm he is safe and well.

“We believe he may be in either the Cockermouth or Whitehaven areas.”
