Police siezed two uninsured cars as a result of spot checks in Bradford Road last Wednesday.
The Batley and Birstall Neighbourhood Policing Team teamed up with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) officers in an operation that checked more than 70 vehicles.
HMRC sampled 36 vehicles and issued a a driver with an on the spot fine of £534.
Police and VOSA officers checked 40 vehicles, with two seized for no insurance, two drivers reported for summons for insurance offences, and another driver reported for disqualified driving.
Further more minor offences were also dealth with. Police said the day was a ‘massive success’.
