Rocking Reverend on stage as Elvis

A passionate Reverend will belt out hits from a different kind of song book when he performs at a church as Elvis Presley.

Touring reverend Andy Kelso is visiting Thornhill in Dewsbury next weekend to perform ballads and gospel songs in a rare tribute.

He is hoping to have the congregation on their feet when he takes to the stage at Thornhill Parish Church on Saturday, March 5.

Rev Kelso said: “I want everyone to have a great evening, enjoying the best of Elvis and hopefully some dancing.

“It will definitely be a night to remember.”

He also serves as the chaplain at Worcester Warriors Rugby Club as well as starring in the touring Elvis tribute.

Rev Kelso was involved in a near-fatal motorcycle crash in the past and said parts of his own life will be weaved into the performance next week.

He said: “I’m able to share some of Elvis’ journey in and between songs and how his journey and mine were the same.”
