Claire Marsden hosted a charity auction in memory of her dad.

An auction of items used by famous sports stars fetched more than £6,000 for charity.

Claire Marsden held the event in memory of her dad, John Marsden, who died from motor neurone disease.

The items, including boots worn by England rugby star Sam Burgess, went under the hammer at Priestley’s Cafe-Bar in Birstall.
