Pupils at Staincliffe Junior School will be on the lookout for some feathered friends after birdboxes were installed in the school grounds.

Peter Morton, of Healey, has been installing his homemade boxes at Batley schools so youngsters can keep an eye out for wrens, blue tits and grey tits this spring.
Teacher Oliver Tiplady said: “We loved the idea of the bird boxes. There’s one we think is already occupied by a wren.”
